Most likely the best way to do it..

Just look at JC channel, he probably made more epic buildings than anyone else and he will start over, he normally does anyway.

I really wish that in A18, that zombies will try to pathfind around cars, or at least jump on top of them. Currently they almost gravitate towards them and decide to beat them, which results in the cars exploding. :/

Definitely. It's not even the same game from one alpha to the next. They change so much, I highly doubt the game would be playable if you tried to open an old save file in a new alpha. With point updates (like 17.3 to 17.4) you can typically continue a game, but not whole number changes like 17 to 18.

He didn't imply that he thinks zombies don't path around cars in A18.

He wishes (hopes) they do - explicitly pointing out the current issue.

I agree with him, too. Every car that zombies blow up can kill you if you get stuck near them, but most importantly blown up cars are lost wrenching opportunities for goodies like brass radiators.

It's just annoying that, for example, in the shed POI's that have a car inside, 9/10, they always explode it. Or this just happens in general. :P Car in the middle of the street? The zombie has no idea that it can walk around it. :P

But if this is somewhat fixed in A18, I'll be relieved. If not, no biggie, I suppose.

Don't you kinda like the jumpscare you get after a car randomly explodes in the streets, while you're looting, cause a zombie kept whacking it?

    Dunno. Maybe I'm just weird.

I think this has been pointed out by another poster already, but, whereby new POI's are nice, we really need some normal, ordinary stuff back.

This whole 'every house a dungeon' garbage is one reason I don't go looting, and sort of makes the game a joke.

I would love to go roaming around in a neighbourhood and find that one place that has the dungeon crawl aspect than having it in every single place, with a few places in the city.

The issue now, for me, however, is it's just as 'rinse and repeat' having all houses as convoluted crawl experiences as it was having all houses 'normal' - although now it comes with a lot more tedium.

And thinking of it, honestly, it wasn't bad having all normal houses with some hidden goodies - it was a lot more realistic than Mr Jones and his wife who managed to source 6 fridges, 4 sofas, and a toilet to wall up a section of the house whilst somehow managing to forget to close or lock the doors immediately on their side.

MM has said they added a bunch of Remnants which are very small poi's not really like the dungeon crawls in many of the normal poi's. He said they are great for your first couple of days in game a bit of loot with a posibility of a place you can fortify for the first couple of nights

Yes, but what I don't like is being behind a zombie and it continues to beat on a car, even if it knows full well that I'm there. :P

    No biggie?

Don't you find it curious that despite their retarded inability to walk around a car in the street, zombies are somehow able to run through a whole dungeon crawl house, climbing ladders, out of windows, running along verandas, then climbing the side cladding to an upper floor where they run around traps - just to knock a door down and find you hiding in the shower? 😏

Then everyone will be faced with a dilemma, and even in A17 that issue can arise, albeit quite rarely. Would you rather loot 2-3 non-dungeon POI's that, at best, have a few couches, cabinets, filing cabinets, and washing machines inside, or would you rather loot a dungeon that, more often than not, has at least one exciting thing waiting at the end of it? (This is not considering ammo, possible free cobblestone/concrete mix, guns, mods, etc.) With a few notable exceptions (such as fire stations and military bases), most non-dungeon POI's are very basic in design and, as a result (for balance purposes, and because they were made alphas ago), their loot is sort of naff.

I just find it humorous sometimes that they are quite prejudiced against motorized transportation. :P

Huh. For the first time in A17, I've just seen a wandering horde appear before my very eyes, one by one. O.o
