Changing ore generation from "caves" to "all" will result in the game getting tons of errors and crashing to desktop.

I changed it, and it works fine for me.

Found. biomes.xml, but it was "caves" by default

http://7d2d.rocks/xml/12-3/biomes.xml the biomes.xml default for 12.3

the genration options are 'noise', 'caves', 'all'

noise will be everyhwere based on the same logi as 10.4 and before.

Caves will be as it is by default only found in caves

all is both options. this is a variavble change so all isnt the same as All or ALL


find all instances ( use find and replace ) of rwgGenerationType="caves" replace with rwgGenerationType="all" if your getting erros you probbley hand an error in a variable

any of these could give erors

rwgGenerationType=" all"
rwgGenerationType="all "
rwgGenerationType="All"
rwgGenerationType="ALL"
rwgGenerationType="all
rwgGenerationType=all"
rwgGenerationType='all'
rwgGenerationType="all'
rwgGenerationType='all"

if this is the only edit you have done to the xml file then grab a fresh default and use the find and replace option

Does this apply to saved random gen games too? If yes do I need to dig in undiscovered territory or will it work in already discovered regions (Basically does running around on the surface of the map already generate the ore beneath me?)?
