Hi! Was curious if it was still possible to reduce map size in an RNG dedicated server? Is this possible, and how would I do this if it was?

Thank you kindly!!

yes in rwgmixer change gen_distance -

<rulesets>
<ruleset name="vanilla" cell_cache_size="8" cell_size="1800" cell_offset="0.6" generation_distance="40000" terrain_generator="vanilla">

to what you like

then look for this -

<biome_spawn_rule name="radiated">
<distance_from_center range="40000,50000"/>
</biome_spawn_rule>

so what ever size the gen distance is must be the first value of the radiated range value then add 10k to the second value.

IE you want a world size of 1000

<rulesets>
<ruleset name="vanilla" cell_cache_size="8" cell_size="1800" cell_offset="0.6" generation_distance="1000" terrain_generator="vanilla">

<biome_spawn_rule name="radiated">
<distance_from_center range="1000,11000"/>
</biome_spawn_rule>

Thank you for your help! Much appreciated!

Can you also explain what the two cell numbers actually mean?

Thanks!

do you mean the 1000,11000 values or am i reading the question wrong.

if so the 1000 11000 is distance from center to edge of map where radiation begins. you can set radiation to any size i believe it doesnt have to be 10000 diff. idk even if you can have normal biomes again on the other side of the rad zone. for example this may work havent tested.

set gen_distance to say 40000

set rad distance - 10000, 15000

copy paste the rad zone and edit value to the size you put in gen distance + 10k

<biome_spawn_rule name="radiated">
<distance_from_center range="40000,50000"/>
</biome_spawn_rule>

maybe work you will have to cross rad zone to get to the other areas of the world. but idk i have not tested.
