View Full Version : Modifying rwgmixer on Already Made Random Gen Map

I was wondering if any modifications made after an already created Random Gen map would take affect seeing as the map generates piece by piece or if I will need to start a brand new seed for the changes to take affect? I have tried making changes but I can't tell if there is a definite change or if it just simply won't generate that many buildings / cities. Has anyone tested this thoroughly for a confirmation?

Any NEW chunks will see the changes.

Be careful though, sometimes you can get mismatches and things look a little off.

If you don't mind that though, then change away. =)

It is supposed to keep a copy of the mixer in the save when the world is generated but there's a bug and this doesn't happen. It will be fixed in a16 and any changes will only affect new saves after that.

in a15 you will get distant terrain that does match if you change the terrain generation in any way for areas that have been mapped.
