    Remove the need of electricity

    Hey guys,

    is it possible to remove the need of electricity from a block? For example make a new auto turret that does not need electric power to run? I couldn't find anything in XMLs that defines the need of power.

    That should work, but if I remember right, since it's an electrical class block, you'll still have to get a wire tool and connect a wire to it once to make it work. Doesn't have to connect to a generator or anything, just attach one to the turret/block you're using and then cut it.

    At least that's how it worked for Xyth's CCTVs he made. They have 0 RequiredPower, but won't work without connecting a wire first.

    I already tried that, if I remove the mentioned line the block still need's 5W of power, if I set it to 0 and try what bdubyah said it does not work either.

    Maybe they changed that, dunno.

    I went back and looked at Xyth's stuff and his TVs were the "Switch" class. I guess that's why it worked for them. So I'm not sure about doing it for a turret.

    Maybe you could look at the Junk Turret and make something like it?

    I tried, but I could not find junk turret in blocks.xml file, do you have any clues what is it called??

    Yes, its called the junk turret...😂 I see others have already posted actual suggestions so will defer to them.

    Edit: will muck around in the xmls later tonight after work if no one else posts something.

    I think it's in items.xml since it's a weapon that you can fire by hand.

    Yes I found it in items.xml, but that didn't helped me either.
