    Looks like there is a bug with fall damage that got me killed a couple of times already in MP while mining. Didn't try to reproduce it yet but I'm fairly certain the game has issues assessing fall distance when you jump from someone else's head. I was mining with a friend and jumped on his head, and like 1 to 2 seconds later I slided off his head and sprained my leg. Didn't realise this was the cause so again, was sitting on top of his head but this time for longer... and when I slided off, I instantly died.

    The "fall distance counter" probably keeps ticking while you land on someone's head, like you're still falling... and when you finally jump off, you take all the damage based on how much time you spent "up there".


    @Above : -33% smelting time equals 50% more resources smelted (example : 60 units per 60, -33% smelting time = 60 units in 40 seconds, which means 1.5 unit per second thus yielding +50%)

    Bug Description: Book Wasteland Treasures Vol. 7 do not work. I found the book, read it and searched a hotel for all sinks aprox 16-20 pcs. And I did not find a single brass item. Some lead and ordinary stuff but no brass.

    Reproduce steps: Read book and loot.


    the book increases the chance to Harvest brass, not loot, Twigg

    Bug Description: The game crashed shortly after turning in a Tier 2 'clear' quest at the trader on the evening of Day 16. It didn't happen immediately and it's not clear if that's what triggered the crash, but that's the last thing I remember doing. This ended a play session that lasted about 2 hours.

    Reproduce steps:

    1) Turn in a Tier 2 'clear' quest.
    2) Close the trader interface and idle for a few seconds.

    Actual result: game crashes to desktop

    Expected result: game will not crash

    Have you tried turning off EAC? I see that you have a nice Hackintosh build, but MAC's have an issue with EAC right now. - Schwanz9000

    This is a genuine Mac build using original Apple parts except for the 3rd party RAM. But I will try turning EAC off next. My hope was that the logs could assist you, even if it's a known issue.

    Bug Description: After logging in, doors can't be interacted with and inventories become unresponsive after a few seconds. Items can't be picked up if they were dropped because of the inventory freezing while being moved. Issue goes away if I leave our base either with god mode or by breaking a wall, or if I log in from outside of it, but not if I log in while standing on the open roof. There are no claim blocks inside, just bedrolls, and everything is unlocked. Issue cropped up after server was updated to a18.1 from a18.0

    Reproduce steps: Make a house at the first screenshot's coords, log out, log in.

    Press F1 to open the console, then type dbs.
    This will open a panel in game for you to type the bug in.
    Once done click OK.
    There will then be a SCREENSHOTS folder in the main 7 days folder containing the screenshot.

    A link to a post I made, I think there is something wonky with loot abundance going on, as certan lootables when set to 75% loot abundance have a 90%+ chance of having 0 loot in them namely: Any thing that destroys after loot like small ammo piles, cars etc.

    I'm not the only one who noticed this.

    I loaded up the aa_all_loot poi with 75% loot abundance. I then looted 118 containers with only 41 of them being empty. 34.75% is a far cry from 90%.
    Do you have any lucky looter perks and/or wearing any lucky goggles by chance?

    If I'm not mistaken, the 75% abundance is calculated per container. If a container rolls RNG to get 4 of some item, the abundance reduces it to only receiving 3 of that item.

    Exiting from game not working properly.

    Allows exit but re-starting the game later give error message still running. Can fix this by either exiting and restarting Steam if I have not logged off the computer. Then game usually restarts. Otherwise must run verification of game files for program in Steam before I am able to reload the game. Also periodically get game freezes while playing which closes the game if I hit esc key, but then have to go thru the above options to get the game to re-run again. Mostly annoying.

    Would like to get the game to close normally and allow normal re-starts without having to validate files and/or restart Steam to get the game to restart after a crash and/or normal close/exit.

    Can I get clarification if this is covered for servers as well? Still getting hang ups when the shutdown command is issued via the api. With my host, this triggers the server to reboot. The server never fully shuts down and has to be manually restarted each time.

    To clarify, this line is directed mostly at client side hang ups. Server side hang ups are also a known issue.

    Are you looking for logs of this? Most of the time my client will not shut down and I have to forcibly terminate. About 25% of time the game won't even start from Steam, either, and I have to run it from the console. IIRC A17 had the same problem, this is an old bug.

    FWIW, my server has never once refused to shut down.

    I can give you some logs if you are looking for them.


    I rarely get the hang up with the game closing, but when I do, all I have to do is spam click the game and then windows will ask if I want to close it. This has been reported and the devs are working on it. Unfortunately the logs can't really showing us much with this one. Thanks for the offer! - Schwanz9000

    Bug Description: The trader sells a "Drawer". It has 2500 hit points, and a small amount of space. You then go and craft a "Drawer". It has 1500 hit points, and a large amount of space. They look the same, they have the exact same name, and yet they are not the same. Granted that you cannot craft a furnace and the trader does sell the furnace, but it's rather distressing that trader-bought and player-crafted "Drawer" have different stats, since they share the same name, icon and appearance.

    Reproduce steps:

    Press F1 to open the console, then type dbs.
    This will open a panel in game for you to type the bug in.
    Once done click OK.
    There will then be a SCREENSHOTS folder in the main 7 days folder containing the screenshot.

    1) Buy a drawer from a trader
    2) Craft a drawer
    3) Compare them

    Actual result: Different hit points and container size

    Summary: Completed a "Burried Supplies" quest, by pressing "E" on the chest. In a desert biome, once i collected the items from the chest, all the ground turned to snow, sounded like I was walking on snow, but was still in desert becasue I was still overheating with sun border around screen.

    Has structural integrity taken a nerf?

    I don't know if what I experienced was intentional or not.

    First, I left my base on B7, and returned on B8 to see it collapsed while I was out in the world. I built on top of the car parks by Crack-A-Book tower in Departure.

    Next, I went to the Gulch Gift Shop, which I had been to in previous play throughs without incident, and the place collapsed on top of me.

    So, are we to expect less structural integrity from now on, or did I discover something unintended?

    The gift shop has been reported. I've seen a few other reports of SI issues, but have not been able to repro them. will keep an eye on it. Thanks! - Schwanz9000
