Whenever I try to start the steam version of 7DTD...Need help!

THIS IS NOT THE MONO.DLL ERROR! Please do not redirect me there!

Anyways, I recently converted my key into a steam key and I've been having this issue since I finished downloading it. Every time I hit "play", it gives me an error that reads "Failed to start game. (Unknown error) See the steam support crap blah blah we fix your game make good good blah blah" and none of that works. If someone has the solution, please comment it here. Greatly appreciated.

Ive got the same problem, the solution steam gives (removing appcache folder) does not work.
