My server is experiencing terrible issues

Server goes down due to insane amount of lag, (from the game, not the server provider) I know that it's the game because i used to have an alpha 12 server with the same server provider and I wasn't experiencing ANY lag on the server whatsoever, but this new Alpha 13 update just completely made it really laggy to the point where it shut down. please fix this, Im not sure if its memory leaks or what, but I really want it to be fixed.

After how long? My ded server runs for a couple hours before it crashes, with no indications in the log. I run under linux, and watching the CPU+memory both slowly increase to 100% and around 3.6GB memory before the server crashes.

We have a dedicated server running 16gigs of DDR3 ram an I7 3770MP and we are having the same problem within 4 days of play. The zombies rubberbanding the boxs take a while to open and this is all while having 60+ FPS and under 50ping. Something is wacky i can tell you see zombies getting stuck on the hills and walls. I also have seen massive issues with water spawning seems it doesnt come up to the hieghtmaps of hills and such naturally, i find lakes at the bottom of what looks like giant nuke holes. Super huge craters, it makes me miss the old lakes pre mountains. I hope they patch this problem soon the Lagg/Rubberbanding in the Dedi servers is real.

oh wanted to add in its running about 9.9gigs of the memory, so dunno if its got a mem leak or not.

Yeah I've got 16GB mem as well. Also, when I restart the server, it's Day 1 7:00 am again, but everything else is still there.

Pretty sure this is some serious memory leaking, no way the server requires this much for just 2 players playing on it.

I had a similar issue, looks like you need to keep the zombie spawning down, after about 25+ zombies spawn in the same place it starts lagging bad, 40+ or so and the server lags out insanely,

so until its fixed just reduce the zombie spawns

I too have Memory issues on my server. I'm running a freshly installed server on a Debian machine with 14 GB of RAM. Because it's a linux machine, i am currently unable to use the 64bit-version of the server, even though the machine itself is a 64bit machine.
The Problem with that is, the second the 32bit-server tries to allocate 4GB it crashes (duh).
But this has not really been a problem before (because it used less memory before). for some reason, my logs don't always directly say "Out of memory", but the server crashes at exacly 4096MB Ram usage every single time. But when i get an "out of memory"-log, it looks like this:

    Code:

Well the new patch came out and the zombies are still rubberbanding and not working properly, having terrible issues on client side with memory leak but the server seems not to be happening. So dunno if there is a fix till the devs take a serious look at these new zombies. Sad to say while the most interesting progression it feels like the game play quality has taken a step back the lag the water issues, oh well this is the life of development im sure they will get it sorted in time and work it out. It is still in alpha and still my number one game.

The rubberbanding is really really bad on several servers I have tried. The zombie is moving towards you, and then springs back really fast to his original start point, moves toward you again, and then springs back again, over and over. It's really a trick to hit them as this all happens pretty fast. I've gotten half way good at lining up with their rubber band path and send arrows at them that way, and usually I can hit them sometimes.

It's really aggravating. One thing I noticed is it does not always occur. AFter a very long session of rubber banding, later some zombies I ran into did NOT rubberband. Why would it change over time? My connection is not bad and I have consistently low latency.

Same issue here. I opened another thread about this, but I think it's buried several pages deep at this point. Running Linux dedicated server, both 32bit and 64bit versions eventually use all RAM on the server (16GB, dedicated only for OS and 1 7dtd server) and crash. The 32bit version crashes quicker, likely because being 32bit it can only access like 4GB of RAM. The 64bit version will typically run 2-3 hours before using all 16GB of RAM and crashing.

It's super annoying as the crashes tend to reset the days. Plus you'll start noticing there's no zombies or loot spawning.

I hope this is fixed soon. Crashing every few hours is too much to keep up with.

+1 here. After A13.1, my server crashes within 5 minutes instead of 3 hours. Looks like its going to get worse before it gets better.
