Thread Reference on Mac Graphic Issue

    https://7daystodie.com/forums/showth...c-graphics-bug

Several posts in that thread have images of the graphics issues I believe most of the Mac OS X users are facing - they're the same as I have on my iMac. Specifically post #22 by Anarath on that thread has images that match what I am seeing on my iMac.

Again, I was able to run a14.1 and can still run a14.2 without this graphic issue on my MBP, as noted in that same thread. Might be a clue.

Good luck and thanks for your efforts!!

    Issue type: Missing terrain
OS: Linux (Ubuntu MATE 15.10 amd64)
    GPU: GTX 660
    GPU driver version: 352.63, 340.96, 304.131
Log of crash: a representative sample: http://sprunge.us/HAdM a bunch more are in attached linux_logs.zip
Tested without EAC (Windows only): N/A
Tested 32 bit client: I believe I tried both
Worked in Alpha 13: N/A (I never played A13 on Linux)
Same issue in test tool: Didn't try it at the time
    Log of test tool: N/A

I am willing to test any distro/driver combination within reason - this is in a virtual machine, so I'm not worried about messing anything up.

Also, if it's of any use, I can provide links to all of the output_logs posted to the IRC channel since A14 was released.

For the ones that actually crashed, generally the crash would happen when closing the game. The window would disappear, but the exe would still be running in the background, hung.

Also, could you try running without EAC too?

    Regards,
    Chris
Apart from the output_log.txt I had no crash folders at all (searched everywhere) after the CTD.

Now I tried running the game without EAC as you suggested (didn't know how to do that until now lol).
After less than 1 minute playing this time windows displayed a message that the game was not responding any more, asking me if I wanted to close it. I replied YES and the game closed. I checked the folders and no crash folder is there whatsoever.

This is my new output_log.txt after this last CTD (no EAC): http://pastebin.com/TCeuet0Y

Thank you and good luck with your bug hunt!

Issue Type: Mac OS X Graphics / Crash on Startup
    OS: Mac OS X 10.7.5
    Worked in a13: Yes

Tried to run unity tool - it ran, but header of app said LinuxGItool - menu option grayed out, can only Force Quit from tool.

I run 2 monitors. The game will lock on startup (doesn't reach the first splash screen) if I am spanning monitors. If I mirror the monitors, the game will launch normally.

I am also having the terrain problem as other people have described. This only affects ground/terrain and not built structures or the sky

Log from test program crash: http://pastebin.com/KvuC1e5d

Here is the info from the video card dump. PLease note that the 7300 GT is not being used by a monitor, only the GTX 570. Furthermore, THe GTX 570 is a stock reference video card which does not have the special Apple ROM. To date has only meant that I don't see the Grey Apple screen upon boot up, but otherwise works perfectly.

Issue type: crash when entering game / crash after moving a bit from a spawn point
    OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit
    GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 750
    GPU driver version: 347.88
    Log of crash:
    1.) http://pastebin.com/H8kqEyGT
    2.) http://pastebin.com/0au3RPr4
Tested without EAC (Windows only): yes - no change
Tested 32 bit client: yes - works
    Worked in Alpha 13: yes

Tested several times with both EAC on and off. Got the same crashes either while trying to turn camera right at the spawn point or in a couple of minutes after moving from spawn and doing stuff. The only difference was that with EAC on, the game crashed instantly to desktop without any messages or crash logs, and with EAC off the game just froze or gave the 'program has crashed' message after a short freeze. In case of the crash message, no crash logs were generated, the only 2 times i got logs was when I killed the frozen game from the Task Manager.

Tried with minimal graphics settings and all sounds at 0% with no effect.

Neither deleting data from AppData/Roaming/... nor reinstalling the game helped. Didn't try to update GPU driver.

Didn't get any crashes in 32 bit client (7DaysToDie.exe) in a few hours of playing (tried both starting a new game and continuing the one that crashed in 64 bit client).

I have some additional info - I ran 7 Days To Die under Wine and the textures were fine, so it is obviously an issue with the actual Linux version itself rather than the Nvidia drivers (same Linux drivers were used to run the game under Windows (Wine). I hope this helps. P.S. The game actually seemed to run better under Wine than it does under Linux.

Issue type: Blurry Sky / Missing World when changing resolution in game, fixed when 7dtd and steam are complettly restarted

    OS: 10.10.5 (14F1713) / Yosemite / Mac

    GPU:
GLX Renderer: AMD Radeon R9 280X 3072 MB

    Worked in Alpha 13: yes

After Downloading the Test tool i started with 1280 x 800 Resolution, which is my game resolution and it started, by i have only seen the sky texture and when i clicked on the menu button nothing happened.
    After pushing exit, it exited.
wanted to test al resolutions and started with 640 x 480 and it crashed on startup.
    This ist the crash log:

After trying to restart the test tool it crashes on startup, even after a new download of the tool, erasing it with appcleaner and restarting with a PRAM reset.

I habe encountered a strange behavior due to the Display error.
Not only that the sky is blurry, I have some Artifacts on screen.
1 in 20 starts maybe they do not appear.
I have not found yet a possibilitty to know why tey appear and why not. It is more some chance of luck.
Then my only problem is the blurry sky.
    Hope it helps.
