    I know the hoe bug was fixed and Bad Mechanic buffs against stamina drain now and there were a few other balancing tweaks. Lots of bugs were fixed and a lot of the bugs on the known list needed to be pushed to a 16.1 or even A17 because of the work involved.

    For example, they fixed the corpse dupe but the fix ended up breaking all loot containers and in a way that would have taken a long time to explore and work through a fix. So they reverted it and will get it done in the time it takes to do it right but they didn't want to hold up the release any longer. That happens quite a bit. You can't assume they never fixed any of those big bugs. Sometimes they do some groundwork and realize it is going to risk a lot of different systems if they go for it. So they push it back and take the time necessary.

    Rick has just been copying his original post throughout the experimentals up to now. I always did the same thing with the Q&A threads as well. Beats completely starting a brand new thread especially when the header has a lot of information.

    Welp...

    This officially ends Alpha 16 development. The team will be monitoring the next couple of days closely in case there is a need for a hotpatch. Then they will take some time off and when they come back they will start A17 development as well as work on some of those big bugs from the known bugs list for A16.1.

    If you have been playing experimental and want to switch to stable then all you need to do is go to the beta opt in page and select : NONE --Opt out of all betas

    Then your game will automatically update to the newest version on the stable branch.


    Oh and how about some fun for the big release of A16 stable and the impending beginning of A17 development...

    I happen to have an extra game key for 7 Days to Die and it will go to whoever is first to post in the A17 Development Diary thread once Madmole opens it.
