    mine just is crashing at the game menu not even getting to servers or even my local games.

    Is there any update that can be provided on this? Last word was waiting on steam, do they even know about the problem? Is there a time frame? Not to bash, but this is unfortunate. We were looking to expand our server to more players, as more of our friends were buying the game, but without the server we probably won't see any growth. I'm perfectly content to play SP, but I feel the MP would have given me a good challenge.

    I've password protected my servers after notifying everyone, and then just turned off EAC for now. Maybe Alloc can hunt down some information on this, or eac knubbe.

    If anyone's still experiencing issues with the Steam authentication then please post here. This is still not EAC related at all, that's over there.

    Oddly, turning off EAC resolved the Steam Authentication issue for all of my users. I thought it was strange, but maybe there is some relation with the network data.

    I ran the server and had a few people try connecting over a long period of time, each had issues with Steam Authenication.

    Sounds like you're still in the wrong thread (or just coincidence in timing ... Steam auth has *nothing* to do with EAC auth).

    Same issue

    Im currently having the same problem, anyone that tries to enter my game is stuck on steam verification, even people in my house on the same internet. One day we were playing multiplayer, the next day (on the same world) they were unable to join. They cant even see my game on LAN, but are able to join other peoples games that pop up.

    So today I setup a new server - CentOS 7. I installed SteamCMD, logged in, installed 7d2d quit, edited the config xml, launched the startserver.sh using the congif (ssh session), seems to be running. I attempt to load the game from home PC and connect and I get the "Waiting for Steam Verification" on the loading screen shortly after the attempting to connect to the IP address message. My server is not showing up on any lists...

    Could this be an issue with the fact I do not have 2 STEAM accounts? I have one. I used it to login to steamCMD and download and install 7d2d server. I am not sure that there are any other places to identify steamID... anyhow... I'm lost...

    I loaded up 7D2D RAT and can see through telnet the console shows the world loaded, then my attempt to connect... I see PlayerConnected message, following with INF PlayerLogin with my steam name/Alpha15.2
    Next I see the token length a seamworks.NET auth user followed by Steamworks.NET authenticating plater resulting with OK

    Then I see lots of updates for time heap chuncks etc... nothing else...

    From the game side - it just stays on message loading screen showing Waiting for Server Verification

    Ideas?

    alloc still no go

    so I did a fresh intall using bootsrap shell script you wrote - It was a bit confusing as the setup I have is on a shared host (but I admin use for the server) Centos 07. I managed t get it all started... but still the waiting on steam verification message... I checkd admin xml and made sure my EAC was turned off and my steamID was correct... I used kill then start again and I can find the server now from game connect to server option but it just sits there on waiting for steam verification...

    please help if you have ideas on what t check next... its not a port issue - I can connct the server but the server is not seeming to auth to th steamnet

    who knows...

    I sent them to you via PM...

    I reinstalled everything using gameservermanager - pretty compact and slick sripts - made it easier to reinstall. Still stuck at waiting for steam verification.

    What log are you wanting to look at? I zipped the logs folder up for you and sent via PM earlier.

    Several repeats of the following errors connecting on various UDP ports. Server hosting says all ports are open... I dont think they are.. I am able to install steamcmd and update the app from steamcmd directly logged in with my steam ID. I then tried redoing everything by first disabling two factor auth on my personal steam ID and then I logged in with steamCMD and downloaded and installed again - still same issue - "waiting for steam verification" Any other ideas?

    I can connect through telnet to gameserver and watch as users try to login - steam authenticates with OK on each user but they see the same thing I see - "waiting for steam verification" and the game never loads them in.

    It was indeed a firewall issue (just so others looking in here know that it's supposed to work just fine atm in general ).
