    XML help

    Can anyone tell me why i cant get these to show up in the workbench. Server is on a16.3 b12 and running valmod please help

    Did you just add these recipes to a vanilla recipes file?

    If so you probably do not have the items added to the items file and thus the recipe file is now broken.

    You can find where the recipe file breaks by finding the last recipe that shows up, the file reads from top to bottom so start by finding the lowest recipe that shows up via search in game by typing it on your character crafting screen. Then the recipe that comes after that does not show up is where the file breaks.

    so for eg if we pretend that this is a full recipe file and it only had 3 recipes in it total and parts44Magnum_grip shows up and parts44Magnum_cylinder does not then the parts44Magnum_cylinder is where it breaks.

    no it was not added to vanilla its a valmod overhaul server but i do understand what your saying about breaking and how to find the problem i will look into that.




    Update: Found that the partspistol_barrel aka pistol barrel is the problem if i quote out the pistol crafting recipes than all the others work fine. what i dont understand is why the pistol barrle dont work? anymore ideas? you have been a great help so far

    you dont have a pistol_barrel recipe (or any pistol recipes except the silencer) in the text you posted

    forgot to select it my bad. i have in quoted out in the xml at the moment untill it can be figured out

    partspistol_barrel needs to be partsPistol_barrel small errors can easily cause a broken file, I did not check all of them closely I just happened to notice this one.
