    New primitive rifle idea.

musket rifle or pistol- an early game idea we have the blunderbuss a close range primitive shotgun with you load stones in to and fire. an intresting early game fire arm people could build and use would be the musket, there are so many kinds so im not going to sit here and try to point one out, but an early game or even mid or late game weapon with is a muzzle loaded black pouder rifle or pistol, nothing really fancy but loud and cheap to use, useing one paper one gunpowder and dependent on how the musket shot wishes to be handled, with bullet tips or stones.

Bait Trap- strapping raw or rotten meat to a pole or even a explosive, haveing it wired to a switch and blowing it or just letting the zombies gather around it and mow them down with her gun. this gose back to the old scent from older builds so im not sure how well this would work.

Definitely no to primitive rifle, especially with basic guns being more common in A17 it's already so easy to get a fire arm, plus we have bow as a ranged option so it's not needed.

I'd love the SKS in game, along with a Mosin Nagant since they're both surplus and people literally hoard these things in their collections... Just keep the SKS at 10+1 rounds and the Mosin at 5+1. Since the 7.62 is seemingly both x39 and x51, why not also x54R? One less caliber to put in the game.

As much as I love my AKs, I never understood why the AK made it to the game before the AR15.

I get that there's an item limit in game where every truly unique item requires a slot in resources, but I'm not sure if the limit for textures is as stringent. I guess that's the cost of supporting 32-bit rigs

    I can tell you.
There were no serious gun nuts with the TFP so it was "a rifle", "an assault rifle", "an SMG" (where the artist picked an "SD" version which is all kinds of wrong).

And there were guns. And TFP saw the guns and it was good.

Not many people are gun nuts, I do not count my self in those numbers. But i do look at what the weapons all provide in terms of what they could offer games rather then it just being an automatic fire stick

    New submachine guns.

Alot of people love the smg, and the assult rifle. Both are lovely automatic rifles. I am not a fan of the Smg sights, the ak sights are fine, but when you fire it, the sound is off like it doesn't sink up with the amount of shot fired, the same is true about the smg. My suggestion here would to record the sounds of the fire arms in person so that the sound of the fire arms of the diffrent calibars sounds right beyond just the muddy sound they already have.

Uzi- One of the most iconic smg's next to the mp5, Found in many video games and hoods, This 9mm smg was used by Secret service men and Swat across the world for its compact size and ease of use.

Criss- this is an upcomer in the smg worlds for being a light dependable fire arm, with the ability to chamber in a wide arrange of calibers it has been adopted by swat teams around the world for its compact design and light weight.

Both of these fire arms have a more open sight allowing for better targeting.

Color blind mode and radical symbol and color changes.

My buddy i play with on an off again is a combat vet, spent more then a few years over in afgan. came over after haveing been blown through two walls, he loves the game. but sometimes the colors play tricks on his eyes and give him issues. So im putting this here for other people who have issues with the same thing with being able to see the color pallet as well as a way to change the radical shape and color so people who have issues seeing it can see it.

I started a thread on this but I think this is an awesome idea. Giving the player a musket would give them a shotgun and a rifle they can use to level their respective gun skills and is pretty immersive. There was this show i saw where there was an apocalypse and due to the scarcity of bullets, everyone scrounged for muskets because their ammo was more available and could be made.

    primitive guns ftw

    More Weapons

It might sound a little out of the subject as I think the devs aren't really thinking about adding in more weapons but I definitely think that there needs to be a major weapon increase. The number of firearms is extremely small, and the only melee weapons people actually use are the sledgehammer, spiked club, and sometimes the machete. If they did this, it would get people to play more as it does add some more objectives and more fun to the game in general(after all the biggest concept in this game is killing zombies).

Thanks for the comments guys, thats kinda what i was thinking snake i really do enjoy useing the blunderbuss my first 50-60 days as it allows me to take out zed while useing limited gunpowder so other flinklock, or black powder weapons would be nice to see. as far as new weapons are concerned, its been pointed out they have to fill a roll or nitch that the other weapons do not cover and the problem with a thought like this is there is a fire arm for every use in the world. But with the new 'weapon system' with has been said to be coming out sometime in the next couple of months it will allow for a much wider assortment of weapons through the 'weapon mods' so we could see thinks like a 10 shot rifle, but it will still just look like a rifle, they are at present not interested in putting in new weapon skin's or weapons with out having a good reason for its use other then its another boom stick.

This being said tho, they are saying with the new 'weapon system' it sould open up the gate for modders and their own weapons with sould allow modders to put in their own weapons, skins and all. So i am hopeing the hype is good, becouse i will miss weapon parts.

If you think about it the black powder weapons fill a space as it gives us a tier system to weapons: tier one is the craft able weapons like the blunderbuss, flintlock and musket. tier 2 would be the modifiable scavenged guns like the shotgun, rifle and pistol.

i also think it would be really awesome to have placed weapons like a ballista or a cannon but that may be to extreme

I honestly thing that useing chain shot to blow the legs out from under a zed would be cool as ♥♥♥♥ to watch.

Felechette shells - These shotgun shells use long metal darts most commonly iron or steel But other metals have been used. the darts have stabilizing fins on the back allowing for the Felechette shot to be used at longer ranged and in tighter groupings allowing Shotguns to be used at targets that could be out side the standard range of the shotgun, or even allow for better on target spread at closer ranges.
I think the chain shot would be intense and super awesome, after all, this is the apocalypse and bola+blunderbuss=scary so seems legit. this is a real thing in a smaller scale with shotguns irl. i don't remember what they are called but its two shots connected with a 2 inch chain.

flechette would be amazing and give the already amazing shotgun an edge and a versatile ammo to fill the gap between slug and buckshot

also, can we get dragons breath shot for the shotgun? they basic make it shoot fire and buckshot to light things up *demon laugh*

honestly, the chain shot existed for real. In days of old back when we were using cannons and the power of the wind still, Chain show was a real thing, it was used to clear decks and to cripple the mast of other ships. It was a nasty surprise because it was a weapon created out of a desperate moment, Similarly it was also used in larger ship based blunderbuss's.

The shotgun shell your thinking is call Ball and chain. its less a real chain, but a thin renforced wire with links to balls at eather end. Not much like the chain shot of the old blunderbuss and cannons of old, but i still wouldnt want to get hit by it. There is a mod that has it already as well as toxic ammo.

I hope the devs and other players look in to this because honestly, there is plenty to expand on with new ammo types and even the ability to make handle every issue they come across with different ammo. i could go on and on with the ammo that is out there but i have highlighted a large amount of the most common or unknown ammo out there.
