  • Changed: Zombie screamers now summon a “mini” horde every time they scream loudly. This puts pressure on the player to dispatch the screamer as soon as possible. The amount of zombies the screamer summons increases over weeks past, so a screamer on day 90 will summon some nasty zombies and lots of them. Screamers scream loudly about every 20 seconds so kill them quickly or you will have a large horde to deal with. Screamers also have a low chance to summon additional screamers.

Serverconfig.xml

  • Added new serverconfig.xml property  <property value=”true” name=”AirDropMarker”/> (When true valid air drop locations are marked on the player’s map and compass with an orange supply crate icon)

 

Known Issues

  • OSX: Default build crashes, use the latest_experimental_u52 build from Steam.
  • OSX with Intel GPU and most likely some Linux systems with Intel GPU: black terrain
  • Linux with AMD GPU and proprietary driver: Crash on launch. For some people running the game with “-force-gfx-direct” fixes this (add the parameter to the launch options in Steam). Alternatively if performance is good enough the open source driver should fix this too.
  • Windows with NVIDIA GPU: driver versions 34x.xx are reported to cause issues with Unity 5.3. If there are no newer drivers for your card try using latest_experimental_u52 build from Steam.

Note this is should be compatible with all Alpha Alpha 14 on up saved games. We apologize for any of you who are still having trouble running the game. We appreciate your patience and any information you can provide us in fixing the problems. We believe the crashes are Unity related and are still investigating this.

Set in a brutally unforgiving post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead, 7 Days to Die is an open-world survival game that is a unique combination of first person shooter, survival horror, tower defense, and role-playing games. It presents combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration, and character growth, in a way that has seen a rapturous response from fans worldwide, generating hundreds of thousands of hours of community content on YouTube and other streaming video platforms.

The console version of 7 Days to Die adds a new multiplayer mode supporting local split-screen for couch play, additional online multiplayer modes and features will be revealed in the coming weeks.

7 Days to Die will be supported by exciting DLC content, with details to be revealed in the near future.

The game is due for release on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One during the summer of 2016. It will be available as a downloadable or disc-based, retail product with a recommended retail price of $29.99 USD or equivalent, and is available for pre-order at GameStop, Best Buy, GAME, and Amazon.

Not yet rated by the ESRB; a ‘M’ Mature rating is expected. The game is published by Telltale Publishing in partnership with The Fun Pimps.

7 Days to Die is currently available for Windows, Mac OS X, and SteamOS and Linux in Early Access on the Steam platform.

Alpha 14.4 Hotfix is out! 04.03.16

Hey Survivalists,
Here is a hot fix for some of the regression bugs the last update caused.

For those who have reported crashes please try updating your video card drivers, cleaning out your files in your C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDieAppData folder and reinstalling the game. Note this is should be compatible with all Alpha saved games. We apologize for any of you who are still having trouble running the game. We appreciate your patience and any information you can provide us in fixing the problems. We believe the crashes are Unity related.

Alpha 14.4 Patch notes

  • Added: New Army Barracks to the game and random Gen world.
  • Fixed: Bacon and eggs require a cooking pot.
  • Fixed: Label of the leather chest armor schematic.
  • Fixed: DTD-1913 TL – Environment – Missing part of wooden tower on NAVEZGANE.
  • Fixed: Gameplay – Player is not taking damage/ragdoll does not activate.

Known Issues

  • In Single Player zombies sometimes don’t damage players if they have not yet opened their player screen. Opening your character screen or tabbing in and out of the game fixes it.

The team has been continuing to improve alpha 14 so here is another round of fixes.  Again thanks to the community for helping find and report the issues.

Note this is should be compatible with your A14, 14.1 and 14.2 saved games. We apologize for any of you who are still having trouble running the game. Alpha 14.3 Patch notes

Added

  • Added: progress bars to skills in the skill screen to show current level and xp to next level.
  • Added: Skill group category groups icons and sorted all skills and perks into these groups; All, Firearms, Weapons, Tools/Traps, Clothing, Scavenging, Health/Fitness and Crafting Miscellaneous.
  • Added: You can craft Destroyed Stone to backfill holes while mining.
  • Added: New larger iris overlay for female Asian.
  • Added: New female base texture for the Asian head with lower slanting eyebrows, less lipstick and more eyeshadow used on Grace. Damn she’s hot now!

Known Issues

  • In Single Player zombies sometimes don’t damage players if they have not yet opened their player screen. Opening your character screen or tabbing in and out of the game fixes it.
  • Mac and Linux still have some rendering issues we’re investigating.
  • Sounds on dedicated servers seem to stop playing after extended periods of time. Resetting the server fixes this.
  • Some folks are still experiencing crashes we are investigating this and suspect it’s a unity problem.
